FUN EVENTS NEXT WEEK

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

ANTI-BULLYING WEEK – MONDAY 12th – FRIDAY 15th NOVEMBER 2019

ODD SOCKS DAYS – TUESDAY 12th NOVEMBER 2019

We are delighted to announce that the whole school will be taking part in National Antibullying week (11th – 15th November). As a whole school we will be taking part in Anti bullying week with a number of activities around this year’s theme of “CHANGE STARTS WITH US”. Our key message is that we want to celebrate our diversity and for all members of our school community to feel valued.

On Tuesday 12th, we would like all pupils to come to school in odd socks as a fun way of showing being different is okay! During the week, each class will participate in specific lessons and activities focused upon this year’s theme. We hope you will take this opportunity to support your child by discussing anti bullying with them. We want our pupils to be happy and confident members of the community both now and in the future.

CHILDREN IN NEED DAY: FRIDAY 15th NOVEMBER 2019

We are supporting this worthwhile cause once more this year by holding a non-uniform day, selling ‘spotacular’ merchandise. Following the Children in Need theme, we are encouraging pupils to come into school in clothes with a spotty theme.

We ask that every child brings in £1 each for the privilege of dressing up for the day – all monies raised in school will be forwarded to the Children in Need Charity.

From Wednesday 6th November (Junior Site) and Monday 11th November (Infant Site) we will be selling Pudsey items leading up to the non-uniform day – Pudsey and Blush ears, pin badges, wrist bands and key rings. Items are priced from £1 to £2.50. At the infants items will be available from the school office before and after school and each afternoon Year 2 pupils will take the items to the classes so if you would like your child to purchase something, please send them into school with some money in a named envelope.
We are hoping with both sale items and non-uniform we are able to raise a fantastic amount.

We look forward to seeing all of our ‘spotty’ children on November 15th!

Thank you in advance for your ongoing support.
