Learning Together, Achieving More.
Dear Parents/Carers,
We know that you are all aware of the adaptations we are making to school life as a result of the flooding that occurred in the infant block at half term. It has been lovely to see the children having jacket potatoes this week, if they wanted a hot lunch.
Although the marquee is working well for KS1 and KS2 lunches and we are looking at ways of using it to support our curriculum and wider activities, it doesn’t provide the same flexibility as the hall normally does. We are currently looking at how we manage a number of events, particularly in the run-up to Christmas so that parents and children are still experiencing the joy and excitement that it brings.
We know that Christmas is a really special time for many of our families and so we are working hard to still be able to invite parents/carers into school to see the children perform. As we don’t have the same spaces as we normally do, particularly for rehearsals, the staff are having to adapt the performances they had planned. The Nursery and Reception children are currently learning a few Christmas songs which they would like to perform for you in the marquee.
The marquee has a capacity of approximately 270 people. With all of our EYFS children and staff in there, it significantly reduces the capacity of the space for us to then invite parents to attend. With this in mind, we will need to limit the numbers that attend on those attending to two parents/carers per child due to capacity and fire regulations. There will also be a limit of 140 people watching at each performance. If you wish for one parent/carer to attend one performance and another to attend the other, please complete two separate forms. Bookings will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If the form will not allow you to submit a response, it may be that there are no more spaces available at that performance. Please be aware that parents/carers attending the performances will need to stand so please bear this in mind.
The children will perform on Monday 16th December at 2:00pm and Thursday 19th December at 9:30am. Please use the link below to book spaces at the performances.

Although nothing in school at the moment is quite the same as normal, we are sure the younger children will still bring provide us with some Christmas magic.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Yours sincerely
