Learning Together, Achieving More.
As part of our commitment to making maths exciting and high profile in our school, we continue to offer our Year 1 to Year 6 pupils Numbots and Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS).

From the innovators who bring you Times Tables Rock Stars, comes a highly engaging platform for learning to add and subtract… NumBots! NumBots is all about every child achieving the “triple win” of understanding, recall and fluency in mental addition and subtraction, so that they move from counting to calculating.

Times Table Rock Stars (TTRS)

Times Tables Rock Stars is an award-winning maths learning platform where children can practise their times tables like a rock star! Suitable for all learners aged 6 years and up, our question-based games automatically adapt to each child’s unique learning needs, helping them to recall their times tables in record speed. Accessible on any device, via the app or browser, children can play anytime, anywhere. Plus, the engaging gamification and motivating rewards mean it is never difficult to entice children to play. Result!
As it is the new academic year, all Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) pupil accounts have been reset. Pupils will need to log on and some may need to create an avatar, choose a rock star name and complete a Gig (5 minutes / 100 question game).
Resetting at the beginning of each academic year will provide a level starting point in terms of coins collected, studio speed and rock status - thus building enthusiasm to compete (and practise their times tables). Pupil usernames and passwords will be distributed, along with a parent/carer letter.
Can we please ask that when your child does their Gig (5 minutes / 100 question game), that they are not assisted in answering the questions – this gives a true baseline for the AI of TTRS to analyse your child’s accuracy and speed. If your child is feeling anxious regarding their score, please assure them that all answers (correct and incorrect) are great in helping us to help them.

January 2026
Dear Parents and Carers of Year 1 to Year 6 children,
Join in and have fun earning points for your class - everyone is in it to win it!
As part of our commitment to make maths exciting and high profile in our school, we are taking part in a friendly competition involving schools in the UK. The competition, for NSPCC Number Day, takes place on Friday 6th February 2026 between 07:30 and 19:30. It's all done online via play.ttrockstars.com.
Children can play in any gamemode, with every correct answer to a multiplication or division question earning themselves, their class and the school a point. The Times Tables Rock Stars platform will calculate the class average (the number of correct answers in the class, divided by the number of children in that class). Winning classes in the school, and in the competition as a whole, will be the ones with the highest average.
To support player wellbeing, there is a daily time limit of 60-minutes per player. In other words, each player can earn competition points for up to 60-minutes between 7.30 am and 7.30 pm on Friday 6th February 2026. Once the player goes beyond 60-minutes of play on the day, they will still earn coins but will no longer earn points towards the competition.
In the spirit of the competition, could we please ask that you do not play on the children’s behalf - but by all means encourage and support them to the extent that it doesn't cause high stress levels or impact on family plans.
