Learning Together, Achieving More
We kicked off Charity week with all of our KS2 children and staff walking around Jubilee Park as the first of our sponsored events which are raising money for our two charities: Guide Dogs and Cancer Research. We even had the Guide Dog mascot accompany us on the walk which gave us even more excitement and we are very grateful to the charity for supporting us in this way! A huge thank you also goes to our wonderful parent helpers who were out in force to enable us to have all of KS2 off-site at the same time. We really do appreciate your help. While KS2 were off-site, our EYFS and KS1 children also completed their sponsored scoot, treasure hunt and skip. Well done everyone!
A reminder of the events that are taking place next week: -
- House markets are running from 10:30 am—10:45 am each day with each house fundraising on a different day.
Children are asked to bring in small items, toys, books, cakes etc. to sell to raise money.
- Treat sale after school on Tuesday and Wednesday on the Year 1 playground after school. Unfortunately, Mr Chamberlain is not in school on Thursday so the highlight of charity week, ‘Soak the Headteacher’ will now be on the afternoon of Tuesday 21st March. Only children who make a donation can take part to ‘Soak the Head Teacher’.
- Copper seesaw for KS2 will run throughout the week and EYFS and KS1 are delaying their copper coin race until Wednesday so please send coins into school in readiness for that.
- On Friday we are holding a non-uniform day and inviting children to wear red, yellow or blue to represent the colours of the charities we are fundraising for.
Please kindly send in a £1 donation for non-uniform day.
Thank you for your support with all our school events - we really appreciate it.
