Olton Charity Week : 24th – 28th June 2024

27th June 2024

Dear Parents/Carers,

Another fabulous house market today - well done Oak! Tomorrow it is going to be a very busy day as we have our final KS2 house market (Birch) at break time as well as our non-uniform day and soak the Head Teacher. We are asking the children to make a donation of £1 to wear their own clothes for the day and are also encouraging the children to show their support for our charities by wearing something red. However, if you do not have something red, please don't go out and buy anything!

If you child wishes to throw a wet sponge at Mr Chamberlain tomorrow afternoon, they will need to bring in an additional 50p which they will exchange for a sponge. Each child will only be able to throw one sponge.

We are very much looking forward to our final day of charity week and are so grateful for your support this week. If you have any sponsor money outstanding, please send this in tomorrow morning so it can be included in the final total which we will be able to share in the early part of next week.

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are excited to launch again our whole school Charity Week at Olton. During the week, we aim to raise lots of money for our nominated deserving charities, as well as learning and having fun too!

We have decided to award 80% of all profits between two Charities – Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Lyndon Children’s Respite Service, Lyndon House and 20% back to Olton children to support a designated school project.

With your help, we can look forward to a wonderful Charity Week, knowing that the money raised is going to very worthy causes that many of us have close connections to.

Please see attached and refer to the letter ( found under 'Letters Home')  for more information on the sponsored activities planned for Charity Week.
