Learning Together, Achieving More

Start of Autumn Term 2021-22

Good afternoon everyone, I hope that you are well. We have had a lovely afternoon with our Year 3 children with plenty of smiles as they left today. Just a few useful reminders to hopefully get us all off to a positive start next week. For our Nursery and Reception children, please refer back to the letter sent out before the end of last term regarding start and finish times. For our KS1 children, our soft start in the mornings is from 8.45 until 8.55 with collection at 3.15pm. For KS2, soft start is from 8.30 until 8.40am with collection from the playground at 3pm. I know so many of you with children at both sites are looking forward to not having to do the speed walk between schools- only 6 weeks to go until we are all together!

A quick reminder about bringing in labelled water bottles- water only please as we are looking after our teeth during the day. For children at KS2, a reminder to bring in a healthy snack for breaktime- no chocolate, crisps or confectionary- thank you.

For families collecting from the juniors, staff will be on hand to show you where to collect and drop off- we still have lots of building works going on and appreciate your co-operation and support during this time.

Your children will be told their PE days when they start next week and we have decided on these days that children will be able to come to school in their PE kits. There will not be any PE on Monday whilst we settle the children in.

We hope that you all have a lovely weekend- it looks as though we are going to be able to start the term off with some sunshine which is always a bonus.

Best wishes, Mr Chamberlain and the team at Olton.
