Uniform

A Strong Sense of Belonging

At Olton Primary School, children in Chipmunks Nursery wear a simple school uniform from the academic year before Reception.

Wearing uniform helps to:

  • Build a strong sense of identity and belonging
  • Promote our shared values and school community
  • Encourage independence and responsibility
  • Support a smooth transition into Reception

Our uniform is practical, comfortable and suitable for active, play-based learning.

Nursery Uniform

  • Charcoal grey cardigan or jumper (plain or with school logo)
  • White polo shirt (plain or with school logo)
  • Grey jogging bottoms, leggings, trousers or pinafore
  • Sensible black shoes (Velcro fastenings are recommended to support independence)
  • Optional blue gingham dress in the summer term
  • A small pump bag containing a change of clothes

We encourage families to clearly label all items of clothing to help children develop independence and ensure belongings are easily returned.
