    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Dear Parents and Carers,

We are writing to update you on an important and exciting next step for Olton Primary School.

Over recent months, Olton Primary School and Summit Learning Trust have been working collaboratively with the purpose of enhancing learning outcomes and experiences for all the children in our care.

Building upon this early work, and following careful consideration, Olton Primary School and Summit Learning Trust are now pursuing plans for the school to join the Summit family on a permanent basis.

As you may know, Summit Learning Trust is a local, high-performing trust with a proven track record of supporting schools in its family. Its experience, expertise and resources mean it is well placed to work in partnership with Olton Primary School so that both the school and trust benefit from shared expertise and resources. We want to reassure you that your child’s day-to-day experience at school will remain consistent, with a continued focus on high-quality teaching and learning, and ensuring every learner is supported to succeed.

In terms of next steps, we are confident that this partnership will have a positive impact for the school. Therefore, we are facilitating a period of formal consultation from 1st – 22nd September 2026, providing an opportunity for staff, parents and carers and stakeholders to ask any questions and we would encourage you to participate in this process.

Should you wish to speak with us you are invited to attend Olton Primary School to meet with representatives from the school and trust on Monday 7th September 2026 between 3:30 and 5:00pm. Alternatively, you can email any questions to, Rebecca.Hill@summitlearningtrust.org.uk using the reference “Olton” in the subject header.

We will continue to keep you updated as the process progresses and ensure you have the information you need at each stage.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

    Yours sincerely,

Mr Leon Chamberlain - Head Teacher

Mrs Ellen Dunlevy-Wilkes - Chair of Governors

Mr Vince Green  - CEO    Summit Learning Trust

  • ParentPay Issues ( Year 3 - Year 6)

    Fri 04 Sep 2026

Dear Parents/Carers of Pupils in Year 3 to Year 6

We are currently experiencing some technical issues with ParentPay which we are trying to resolve quickly.  Some of you have been able to apply credit to your account, but you may have received notification that you still need to pay for your child’s school meal yesterday and possibly today.  Additionally, some of our families who are entitled to a free school meal, may also have been charged.

We are working with ParentPay to resolve this and amend any errors in requests for payments. Please bear with us whilst we try to resolve this issue, and we will keep in contact with you.

    Thank you for your understanding

    Kind regards

    Mr L Chamberlain

  • Year 6 Holdenby House Trip

    Thu 03 Sep 2026

    Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,

This is a gentle reminder; the above trip takes place in January 2027.

We have applied the cost of £22.00 to your ParentPay account and would kindly ask if the payment could be paid no later than the 16 December 2026. This has also been set up to accept minimum amounts from £5.00 to £22.00 should parents/carers wish to make smaller amounts over the period.

As you know should we not receive the full contributions the trip would have to be cancelled.

    Many thanks
