Please be advised that there will be no Girls Football Club on Monday 24th November 2025 because I have an extra meeting. Please ensure your child knows what their end of day arrangements are.
Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Parents/Carers,
We will be offering the children in our Infants the opportunity to meet Father Christmas on the day of our Christmas Fayre. Visits will take place during the school day on Friday 5th December 2025. If you would like your child to see Father Christmas, the cost is £3.50 per child, this includes a wrapped present and the opportunity to speak to the man himself. You can also purchase a large chocolate Santa coin for £1.50.
Numbers are limited due to this being Father Christmas' busy time so places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
Please complete the link below and indicate which options you wish to pay for, then hand the correct cash in a sealed envelope clearly labelled with your child's full name and class, to their class teacher. Please note, no cash can be accepted by the office.
Due to the amount of work that the PTA do in organising the Christmas Fayre, in addition to the Father Christmas visit, they will not be able to make contact with parents individually if either the form hasn’t been completed or the money hasn’t been received. Please note we are not able to give an extension past the deadline of Monday 1st December 2025 at 9am.
All bookings are non-refundable.

Good Morning, Parent/Carers,
This is a gentle reminder; Olton Primary are hosting a Lounge Wear Day dedicated to the enjoyment of reading and will have off-curriculum sessions throughout the afternoon to focus on Reading for Pleasure.
We are asking for a £1 donation for this non-uniform day via ParentPay, which is due on or before 19th November 2025. The funds will go towards funding new reading resources for the school libraries (Infants and Juniors).
Kind regards,
Mrs T Chakmak

If you require a barcoded letter, please let Mrs Chakmak know as soon as possible, as the payment can take a few days to be processed and show as being complete.
Many thanks,
Miss Jordan
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Parents/Carers,
We know that many of our parents wish to support their child’s development at home, and as we had such an uptake for our book bundles last year, we are again providing parents with the opportunity to purchase book bundles which support to develop reading, grammar and maths. The cost of the bundles are £10 each (RRP £14.75). These bundles include 3 books:
Reception - Maths, Handwriting and Phonics
Year 1 - 6- Maths, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling, Comprehension
If you would like to make a purchase of these book bundles, please complete the Microsoft Form using the following link:
https://forms.office.com/e/MpMYedSdqc .
We ask that this form be completed by Thursday 13th November so that payments can be added to ParentPay. We then ask that all payment be made before Thursday 27th November so that we are able to process the order. Unfortunately, if payment has not been received by Thursday 27th November, we will not be able to process your order. Once we have received the order from the manufacturer, we will then distribute these to the children to bring home. Please can you complete individual forms for each book bundle you wish to purchase.
Barcoded Letter
If you do not have a ParentPay account and so would require a barcoded letter, please can you request this from Mrs Chakmak as soon as possible and ensure that the payment has been made by Monday 24th November as it can take at least 48 hours to show up on the school account.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Jordan
Dear Parents/Carers,
We will be running another in-house book fair on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd December. We will be selling quality books at amazing, discounted prices as well as lots of stationery on offer for the children. During the day, children will be able to come with their classmates to visit the fair and make any purchases. If you would like your child to make a purchase at the fair during the day, please send your child in with money in a named envelope or purse. Our stock ranges from 50p to £4. The book fair will also be open after school on Tuesday 2nd December in the small hall from 3:15-4 pm. There will be members of staff nearby to direct you. We are a cash- only book fair, so please try to bring along exact cash if possible.

Good afternoon, Parent/Carers,
We wanted to share with you a system that is in place with ParentPay that allows Parent/Carers to set up a low balance warning on their ParentPay account, to prevent debits appearing for school lunches.
As you are aware, as a school we kindly ask Parent/Carers to ensure they have sufficient credit on their ParentPay account by 8.30am on each day they wish their child to use the Catering Provision provided by school. School meals are ordered at registration in a morning, and payment is also taken at the same time. Should your account fall lower than £3.00 on that day, will result in a debit balance. As this payment item should only be used under a credit balance, you may find the following information helpful and prevent your account falling into a debit balance.
ParentPay
ParentPay system incorporates a low balance warning system which can be set up by each parent according to their own needs. When the balance on a particular payment item for a particular child reaches a pre-set level decided by the parent, the system will automatically send a text or e-mail notification to the parents.
Kind regards,
Mrs T Chakmak

Dear Parents,
Tomorrow, children are invited to wear Pudsey ears or other accessories to school if they wish, in support of Children in Need.
Please note, this is not a non-school uniform day – children should wear their usual school uniform.
This is entirely optional, and any donation, big or small, is very welcome.
Thank you for helping us support this important cause!

18 Nov, 7:30 - 20 Nov, 19:30 - TTRS England Rocks
Join in and have fun earning points for your class - everyone is in it to win it!
Dear Parents and Carers of Year 1 to Year 6 children,
As part of our commitment to make maths exciting and high profile in our school, we are taking part in a friendly competition involving schools in England. The competition runs from 7.30 am Tuesday 18th November 2025 to 7.30 pm Thursday 20th November 2025. It's all done online via play.ttrockstars.com.
Children can play in any gamemode, with every correct answer to a multiplication or division question earning themselves, their class and the school a point. The Times Tables Rock Stars platform will calculate the class average (the number of correct answers in the class, divided by the number of children in that class). Winning classes in the school, and in the competition as a whole, will be the ones with the highest average.
To support player wellbeing, there is a daily time limit of 60-minutes per player. In other words, each player can earn competition points for up to 60-minutes between 7.30 am and 7.30 pm on Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th November 2025. Once the player goes beyond 60-minutes of play on the day, they will still earn coins but will no longer earn points towards the competition.
In the spirit of the competition, can we please ask that you do not play on the children’s behalf - but by all means encourage and support them to the extent that it doesn't cause high stress levels or impact on family plans.
Enjoy.
Olton Primary School.
