Dear Year 5 & 6 Parents/Carers,
If you would like your child to be a Walker for this academic year, please can you put this request in writing or via email so that a copy can be kept on your child’s file.
Please note that without written confirmation your child will not be permitted to become a ‘walker’.

Good afternoon everyone! I hope that you are enjoying your last afternoon of the summer holidays and that you had a lovely time over the last 6 weeks. All the staff are really looking forward to welcoming our children back into school tomorrow- looking smart in their uniforms. As ever, we shall have lots of familiar staff on the school gates to welcome everyone back into school and Mrs Glover and Mrs Napier (Our Family Support Workers) will also be there to say hello.
At the end of the day, we will dismiss children in their classes however the old junior driveway will not be open at the end of the day. The familiar pedestrian path and main entrance will be open as usual.
See you all bright and early in the morning and we look forward to hearing about all of your summer adventures.
Mr Chamberlain and the team at Olton.
Dear Year 3 Parents/Carers,
I hope you all had a lovely summer break.
Please can I remind you that if you wish your child to purchase a school meal, please ensure that credit is on their ParentPay account by 8.30am each day. Thank you for your cooperation.

Dear Parents and Carers,
As you may be aware, the children have a fun filled week next week with Bikeability starting on Monday 12th September 2022. This is a week-long activity and the children will be given a session every day except Wednesday due to swimming. They will be with qualified instructors and will support your children. This is a free workshop.
We will be giving the children letters this Wednesday and they must be given back by Friday. Please be mindful that if letters have not been returned, your child will not be able to participate in Bikeability.
This is an excellent opportunity for children to improve their bike riding skills. It is not a course where they learn to ride their bikes. For this reason children must not come with stabilisers.
Please ensure all tyres are checked, that they have a helmet and can ride their bike before bringing to school on Monday.
Children will need to take bikes back home every night.
Last year, it was a fantastic opportunity for children and a great way to ease them back into school life. Many thanks to Mrs Chavda for setting this up.
More news to follow on Friday on where we would like to store the bikes in the day time. All children will have to take their bikes home after school every day. The school will not be taking responsibility for the safety of the bike overnight.
Hope the children have a fantastic week!
Kind Regards
Year 5 Teachers
