Dear Parents/Carers,
Does your child love everything Harry Potter? Have they always wanted to attend Hogwarts? This is the evening for them.
Olton Primary are hosting an evening which is dedicated to the World of Harry Potter on Thursday 2nd February from 7pm – 8pm. As part of the experience, your child will be able to step through the wall of the 9 ¾ platform into a world of magic. Once in the great hall, just like the books, the children will have the opportunity to taste some delights from Hogwarts including Ollivander’s chocolate wands and Hermione’s polyjuice potion. Throughout the evening, we will complete lots of activities based on Harry Potter and will also have our very own Harry Potter Quiz night with many prizes on offer.
Drop off and collection for the event will be based at the Junior Site entrance. Dressing up for the evening as one of the characters from Harry Potter is not compulsory but it would be great to see as many as possible in Hogwarts colours.
There will be a prize for the best dressed. In order to attend this event, we ask that you complete the online Microsoft form and pay £2 via parentpay.
https://forms.office.com/e/XvDifJH9vX
Please complete the form by Friday 27th January.
The £2 amount will be added to your ParentPay account after this date. Once the payment has been made, your child will receive their very own Hogwarts invitation to the evening. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Miss F Jordan
Assistant Head, Reading and Spelling Lead
Dear Parents/Carers
We have had a couple of cases of conjunctivitis in Reception and Year 2. The symptoms are watery discharge from the eye, sometimes with a small amount of mucus. Crustiness around the eyelids upon waking in the morning, possibly swollen red eyelids. It is recommended to see a GP or Pharmacist. Please note the advice is if your child does not have a fever or other symptoms, on the advice of the GP they can return to school.
Kind Regards,
Mr L Chamberlain
Head Teacher
Dear Parents/Carers
Medical Tracker has arrived at Olton Primary and the system has now gone live.
Medical Tracker is our exciting new on-line recording package for pupil accidents and illness. This will allow Olton to remove the out dated paper system which we currently have.
Medical Tracker has great features including a direct email to parents after an accident or illness. Parents/carers will also continue to receive a telephone call for any incidents involving a pupils head or face, in line with our First Aid Policy and Procedures.
Can we please ask that all parents/carers check their inbox and junk emails for any incident notifications. It is important to contact the School Office with any email address changes.

Dear Parents/Carers,
Due to ongoing roofing works, we have had to block off the ramp access to the Junior playground from the Meadow Entrance. For those arriving with prams or needing assistance with access, a member of staff will be on hand to assist. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
Kind Regards

Apologies for the change but we felt it would be best for the children's safety.
