  • Year 2 - Stratford Butterfly Farm Trip

    Thu 29 Jun 2023

Good Evening Parents/Carers of Year 2

This is a gentle reminder, the payment of £18.20 for the above end of year 2 trip, is due on or before next Wednesday 5th July 2023.

As you may or may not know, the school does not receive funding for trips, which is why, as a school, we rely solely on parental contributions.   The deadline date is also the last date we can work too regarding payments, to ensure that should we have to cancel the trip, we have sufficient time to do this with the Venue/Coach Company in order that the school is not charged.

Please be aware, if the trip is cancelled, and you have paid, you would receive a full refund.

If you have any concerns relating to this trip, or require a barcode letter then please let me know.

    Many thanks

    Mrs Chakmak

    Finance Officer

  • Year 6 Inflatantion trip

    Fri 23 Jun 2023

Good afternoon Parents/Carers of Year 6.

This is an update with regard to the above trip.

At present, we are short of £192.00 to cover the cost of the above trip going ahead on Monday 17 July 2023. I do appreciate that Parents/Carers have until the end of today to make the payment of £16.00 on ParentPay.

I wanted to provide you with this update, so you are aware that we may have to cancel the trip due to insufficient funds.  I am sure you can all appreciate that as a school we have to ensure that we provide the correct cancellation notice to the venue/coach company, in order that we are not charged for the cancellation.

Please be aware, that if you have paid, and the trip is cancelled, you will receive a full refund.

    Many thanks

    Kind Regards

  • ParentPay Debit on Accounts (Juniors)

    Mon 19 Jun 2023

Dear Parents and Carers in the Junior school,

So many of our children really enjoy and benefit from having a hot buttered piece of toast at break-time which appears as a debit on ParentPay. Over the past few years, the popularity of toast at break-time has increased which shows that it is really valued by the children. In order for us to keep providing this service, we need to ensure that sufficient credit is on the account by 8.30 am each day.

As a school, we are working hard to avoid any debt, particularly during a challenging financial time for us all and to continue to provide toast at a very reasonable price. In order to keep prices low, we need to reduce administration time taken by the school for late payments to the ParentPay accounts as this could potentially increase toast prices moving forwards.

In order for us to keep running this service and offering toast at £0.25, please help us to reduce Finance admin time by ensuring that the credit is on the account in advance. As ever, if there is a difficulty regarding payments, please do come and talk to either myself or our Finance Officer, Mrs Chakmak and we will advise and support as best we can.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

    Mr Chamberlain

  • PE Kits Tomorrow - Tuesday 13th June

    Mon 12 Jun 2023

    Dear Parents/Carers,

It is lovely that summer seems to finally be here!  Tomorrow, the temperature looks set to be even warmer.  With this in mind, we are advising that children can come to school on Tuesday in their PE kits to help them feel a little bit cooler.  Please also remember to provide hats and to apply sunscreen before school too.  If your child requires hayfever medication, please can you ensure that it is given before school wherever possible, as we have had so many requests today.

Many thanks as ever for your continued support.

    Kind Regards,

Mr L Chamberlain and the Team

  • Lost Property

    Mon 12 Jun 2023

    Dear Parents/Carers,

Our lost property bins are overflowing and we really want to return as much to the rightful owners as quickly as possible.

We know that sometimes children can accidentally bring home the wrong item from PE or maybe a coat or a summer hat, so please could you encourage your child to return any items accidentally brought home.

In the office we are always please to try and help return lost property but would ask for your support in naming items.

    Many Thanks for your support.

    Regards

  • Parking - Lyndon Road

    Thu 08 Jun 2023

    Important Notice

    Dear Parents/Carers,

As many of you know parking along Lyndon Road is on ongoing difficulty for us at school to support and manage.  Daily, I am on the front gate to not only greet our families but also to ensure that the double yellow lines are not parked on, as these provide the main emergency access for fire vehicles, ambulances, etc.

The traffic enforcement officers are supporting myself as best they can and have been issuing tickets to families who are parking illegally on the double yellow lines, blocking the nursery entrance area or blocking driveways to our neighbours on Lyndon Road.  I am now asking for your support in making sure that I can keep our children safe as they arrive and leave our school and to show greater consideration to our neighbours along the road.

We are very grateful to the Lyndon Pub to allow Olton families to park on their premises and walk down to collect their children.  This not only reduces traffic on the road but also reduces the likelihood of cars parking illegally and getting an enforcement fine.

Thank you for your ongoing support regarding this important safeguarding issue.

    Regards

    Mr L Chamberlain
